WHAT MAKES A GREAT LANDING PAGE?

Your landing page is the entry point for your website. It’s the place that most visitors will see first, so it’s essential that it works well, navigates fluidly and looks memorable.

Use engaging headlines – be short, to the point and interesting. You can grab or lose a reader’s interest in just a few words, so choose wisely.

Avoid clutter – you don’t want to confuse your visitor on any page of your site, let alone the first one they see.
Use simple, specific language – your visitor won’t necessarily be an expert on your products or area of business so it’s a good idea to keep the language and explanations simple on your landing page.

Display confident guarantees – it will impress your potential customers if you can make notable guarantees straight up. Put these together with a good testimonial for an extra boost.

Clear calls to action – calls to action can be present in the headline text as well as the button text and simple wording choice can vastly increase conversion (for example: “submit” vs. “download your free guide”). For some businesses, changing their button text from “See Plans and Pricing” to “Get Started Today” increased conversions by up to 252%!

You need to use engaging language that will assure the visitor’s attention is maintained, so they visit other areas of your site, but don’t cover the whole page in too much text. Intersperse pictures that correspond to your content throughout each passage, either to the side of the writing or beneath it. Ultimately, the goal is to channel your visitors to a particular point in your site, either a purchase or sign-up page, so try to limit hyperlinks leading out of your site.

Remember to put your contact details on your landing page. You don’t want to lose interested potential customers simply because they can’t see your email address or phone number!
